The nurse aide training program conducted at Saint Michael School of Nursing and Technology accepts applicants that are at least eighteen years old, are in good general health, and are able to show proof of required immunizations. This CNA course is a month and a half long, it covers one hundred and forty hours of instruction, and has mandatory attendance to classes for four days a week, eight hours a day. The goal of the nursing assistant program is to prepare students for passing the CNA exam and acquire a Texas nurse aide certification. The CNA program at Saint Michael School of Nursing is accredited by the Department of Aging and Disability Services. Upon graduation students are encouraged to seek guidance with securing employment and are advised to maintain contact with their instructors for letters of reference when the need arises.
